Hoop Away That Extra Baby Weight!

Hoop Away That Extra Baby Weight!

Have you recently had a baby? You have been working out really hard and exercising, but there is that last little bit of fat around your tummy. No matter what you do it won’t go anywhere! Well, look no further. I have found a couple videos that will blast the fat and leave you feeling hoopy and happy! Enjoy! First things First EXERCISE!!!!   If you haven’t started some sort of workout routine than you need to! It can be anything! I have two little boys (3  and 1 years old) and it was difficult to get back in the swing of things. I was busy being a wife, new mom, and also going to school for Geology. I started going to Zumba (which I highly recommend). I was also doing a couple other routines (weights, hiking, exercising) however, I just couldn’t shake that last little bit of weight around my tummy. I’m not overweight- I just wanted to get toned back up, as I’m sure all of you do too! So get your booty up and moving! Extra bonus- when you exercise with your baby, they act as a weight and you get to spend time together! Now What? Go find your hoop silly! Any hoop, any size (the smaller the hoop the more you will be working your core). If you don’t have one, go to K-mart or the Dollar Store and buy one (for less than $5), drain out the beads or water and voila! You’re good to go! If it is a new hoop, make sure you’re comfortable with it; it will just make it...

Do you wanna play a hoop game? 4 Facebook groups that you’ll enjoy!

Do you want to play a game? Change up your hoop style? Maybe try some new music or a new combo?  There are a few places you can go to get your fun flow on with some awesome games!!!    1. The Hooping Game- The group can be found here The hooping game is a lot of fun! The premise of the game being that you have to hoop to music you normally wouldn’t choose for yourself. To start a round of the game, simply make a post in the Facebook group that says “I’m in”!! From there someone will comment a song that you have to hoop to!! You have 48 hours to do so. Once you complete your challenge and post a video you get to “hit back” the person who challenged you. You choose a song for them and again they must hoop to the song within 48 hours! Be careful not to challenge too many people at once though. Depending when people respond you might find yourself making quite a few videos all at once. 2. The Flow Game- The group can be found here  If you like the idea of the hooping game but your not a hooper, this game is for you. Although you can participate with your hoop, the flow game is open to all prop spinning. The rules are still the same if you want to play, but not you get to choose what prop you use while jamming to some random songs chosen by your peers!! 3. Same Song Different Flow- This can be played in the Flow Spinistries group...
What to Wear for Hooping

What to Wear for Hooping

When it comes to hooping, some clothes are more hoop-friendly than others. This article will survey different garments that are likely to be comfortable, stylish, and great for hooping in general as well as specific hoop tricks! Also included below are tips on how to make your outfits more hoop-friendly in general. Take a look! Clothes: Photo From Wicked T’s: http://wickedts.spreadshirt.com Shorts Shorts are great for when you are practicing leg tricks. If you have inner grip tape on your hoop, hoop-to-skin contact will be very helpful for keeping up the momentum of the spin. Plus, shorts come in different shapes and materials, so they can be very flattering. Shorts are also good to wear underneath flowy, floaty dresses. Aside from materials that are very stiff (like denim) which might constrict your leg movement, soft and form fitting shorts are sure to come in handy! Best for: Leg hooping, leg-to-waist hooping, wedgies   Leggings Leggings can be comfortable, flexible, and eye-catching! Since they are so stretchy you won’t feel much constriction of movement- they are great to practice hooping with generally. Fun, colourful leggings can also be great to wear for a performance! Materials like spandex can be slippery though, but practicing with cotton leggings or with inner grip tape will help. Best for: On and off body hooping   From Mika Yoga Wear: http://www.mikayogawear.com/collections/pole-fitness/products/leg-warmers-prints?variant=5292374467 Socks, legwarmers, thigh highs Hooping around the legs can be really painful, especially when your hoop hits your shin- to protect yourself from bruises, it might help to invest in some long socks, legwarmers, or thigh highs. This way you can protect the most...

How and Why to use Tags with YouTube Hooping Videos

How and Why to use Tags with YouTube Hooping Videos

Why Should I Use Tags? While searching hooping videos, you may find that only a limited number of them come up in the search. Some hoopers like to name their video after the song they were hooping to, or some other title that doesn’t indicate hooping is in the video. You usually find these videos posted in groups or on pages, but not easily found using Google or YouTube to search. This article will help you add “tags” or also called “keywords” to your video and make them easier to locate. You will get more views, more shares, and are more likely to be featured on the popular hooping websites! What Tags Should I Use? Think like you are a person searching the internet for hooping videos. If you think most people will find videos by typing in “hooping on the beach”, then type that in. Don’t be afraid to use a large amount of tags. I like to use about 10-20 or so, depending on the video. Don’t be afraid to call it “hula hoop” or “hula hooping” as many people like to call hoop dance by so many different names. You may need to sift through some child hula hooping videos to find the ones you’re looking for, because sometimes adults will name their hooping videos with “hula hooping” in the title. Consider Your Viewers If you’re a tutorial poster, make sure to tag the video appropriately. For example, if you’re posting a tutorial on the wedgie, use tags like “wedgie tutorial”, “hula hoop wedgie”, “how to do the wedgie with a hoop” and so on. If you’re a...
